The following is a suggested workflow for migrating an OSM account to OnSite. The exact steps may vary per account.

OSM

1. In Admin tab, export all templates.

2. In Messages tab, export all messages.

3. In Media tab, export all media.

EnGage

Ensure that all media players are running a minimum firmware version of 8.12.0. If you are unsure, contact ComQi CSD.

4. In Content tab, create an OnSite widget. "Duration" should match that of the existing OSM widget.

To edit widget duration, save & close then re-edit the widget properties.

5. In Management tab, decide whether existing zone tags will be used. If not, create new zone tags.

6. In Studio tab, decide whether existing screen layout will be used. If not, create a new screen layout using the new zone tags from step 5.

7. In Studio tab, decide whether existing program will be used. If so, edit the program and add the OnSite widget after each instance of an OSM widget. Keep the OSM widget in the program for now.

The presence of the OSM widget will allow users to continue using OSM during the OnSite account configuration. The OSM widget will be removed later.

If you decide to create a new program, use the screen layout from step 6 and add both OnSite widget and OSM widget.

The presence of the OSM widget will allow users to continue using OSM during the OnSite account configuration. The OSM widget will be removed later.

8. In Studio tab, decide whether existing timetable will be used. If not, create a new timetable using the new program.

9. In Sites tab, ensure that the existing timetable or new timetable is assigned to the site. DO NOT PUBLISH YET. Publishing will be one of the final steps.

Assigning the timetable to the site allows access to this site within OnSite (Otherwise you'll be presented with a "no zones configured" warning)

10. In Management tab, add an email address and OnSite roles to the existing OSM users.

Email address is a requirement for OnSite.

11. In Management tab, upload any required fonts.

OnSite

12. In Admin mode, in Zones tab, add and define all of the zones from step 5. Width and height should equal the dimensions of the zone in your screen layout from step 5.

13. In Admin mode, in Site Groups tab, create all required Site Groups.

OnSite Admins have access to all sites by default but OnSite Users will need to be given access to one Site Group, minimum.

14. In Admin mode, In Users tab, edit the details of each user and give them access to Site Groups and Sites.

Adding the user's first name is required to save any user details

15. In Admin mode, In Templates tab, import templates from OSM.

16. In Admin mode, In Media Library tab, import media from OSM to the Shared Media folder.

Shared Media is available to all users within the account.

Template Media is used for creating templates and can not be published to a Site.

The Media tab outside of admin mode is Site-specific media library, available only to users with access to that Site.

17. In Messages tab (Exit Admin mode), import messages from OSM.

18. In Schedule tab, select a Site Group or Sites and add messages to the schedule. Click "Save".

OnSite
