Q. How long does it take for my message to show on my screen?
A. The time it takes for your message to play after you press publish depends on many factors, including the player's network connection schedule, the amount of data the player may already be downloading, and the time you've scheduled your message for. Consult your network operator to determine how much time you should allow before a specific event to publish your message.
Q. How many messages can I create?
A. You can create as many messages as you want. Note that messages do not expire, so you may wish to delete old messages.
Q. Can I create my own templates?
A. Administrators can create templates for users to make messages with.
Q. What zone should I be using?
A. Consult your network operator to determine how many slots they have scheduled, and for which screen zone.
Q. How do I create content?
A. The Messages tab can be used to create new messages or to edit existing ones.
Q. How do I delete messages?
A. Select the message in the messages tab, and select the delete icon and confirm. The deleted message will bed forever removed from OnSite. Currently scheduled messages/ media cannot be deleted.
Q. Can I stop showing a message but keep the message for later?
A. This depends on whether or not the message was created on the site you're logged into or a higher site group. If the message was scheduled in the site, remove it from the shcedule and it will be located in the messages tab ready for use later. If the message was assigned to a site group edit the contraints to remoive the site, if you dont have access to the group you cannot change it.
Q. Why is my message not showing up on my screen?
A. Make sure you have published your schedule. Also, double check that your playback constraints are set as desired.
Q. What is the difference between "saving" and "publishing"?
A. Saving simply saves your messages changes. Whereas, publishing sends the scheduled messages to your screen. New messages must be scheduled and published before they appear on your screen.
Q. Why do I only see videos (not images) in the media folder when I'm in the Schedule tab?
A. Only video files can be directly scheduled from the media folder, which is why only the videos are visible.
Q. Why is the screen capture not displaying in my dashboard?
A. Screen captures will only be displayed if the media player is currently connected. The connection status of a site/media player can be seen in the Connection Status widget.
