The "Media" tab has a variety of different features and uses for users, of which can be seen below. Enter the "Media" tab to begin.


The media tab enables OnSite users to manage media within each Site Group. Switching Site Groups will display the media in that Site Group.

The Media tab will only be visible to users that have been assigned the OnSite Media user role.


Site Selector

Media is filtered by Sites/ Site Groups. Click on the purple box in the header to view the Sites you have access to.


Select the Site/ Site Group you want to view the media for. Users who don't have access to certain Sites will not be able to access the media within them.


Editing Scheduled Media

To edit media that has already been scheduled and published, start by locating the piece of media in the "Media" tab. Once you have selected the media, click the edit button in the toolbar.


Make the desired changes to the media content and click the save button to save your media changes.


Now that your piece of media has been changed, the last step is to publish the media so that your changes will be sent to your sites/screens. Click on the "Schedule" tab. If your message is already in your schedule, you only need to re-publish your schedule by clicking the save and publish button.


Now that you've published your changes, the piece of media should appear on your screen shortly, depending on the playback constraints.

Media can only be scheduled by users that have been assigned the Media Scheduler user role.


Moving Media

To move media select it and then push the move button. Media can be moved in/out of folders and organized.


Duplicating Media

To duplicate an existing piece of media, click the "Duplicate" button from the toolbar, when a piece of media is selected.


When a piece of media is copied, the name of the original media is used with the addition of "Copy" to the end of the new media name with a subsequent date and time added afterwards. Duplicates will have the ending of "Copy [Date] [Time] [Time Zone]" for example: " Copy 06-27-2025 1-28-30 PM GMT-04-00."


Deleting Media

To delete media select it then push the trash can icon. Folders can also be deleted, but only if they're empty.


A popup will then appear confirming the deletion of the piece of media. If the media currently is in use it cannot be deleted.


Uploading Media

Creating a Folder

To create a folder select the add folder button in the toolbar.


A popup will be presented where the folder name can be added, once satisfied click the "Save" button to confirm.


Media Storage

All media assets are stored on a Site or Site Group in a similar way that files are stored in folders. Any user who has access to the Site or Site Group will have access to the media within that Site or Site Group. When a media asset is upload it will be added to the currently selected Site or Site Group. 

Media assets are stored in a "Zone" folder, which is stored within a Site Group. Within the Zone folder will be folders and media.
